Saint Luke the Evangelist

SLIDELL, LOUISIANA

HISTORY

In June 1982, Archbishop Philip Hannan appointed Fr. Adrian B. Hall, then pastor of Saints Peter and Paul in Pearl River, as the founding pastor of a new parish east of I-10. Named after St. Luke the Evangelist, the parish aimed to build God's kingdom on earth from its inception, starting Masses in the gym of Pope John Paul II Catholic High School due to lack of property. A house on Kisatchie Drive served as the first rectory and office, where morning Masses began. Dedicated formally on September 12, 1982, the parish quickly grew, welcoming 1,169 parishioners for Easter Mass in 1983. Construction of a Worship Center and other facilities followed to accommodate the expanding community.

OUR WORK

Sainte-Chapelle Studios was engaged to develop marketing materials for a capital campaign involving the construction of a new parish church, renovation of exisiting classrooms and meeting rooms. In the process, we further developed designs for a new church incorporating classical and vernacular architectural features. Ultimately, the result is a comprehensive design worthy of the worship of God that incorporates the tradition of sacred architecture, while also paying tribute to the wonderful community that started the parish. This is paired with an 18 page capital campaign booklet and 3D animated renderings has allowed for a robust kickoff to the parish's capital campaign efforts.

SERVICES PROVIDED

Capital campaign marketing services: narrative development, design development, 3D rendering, dynamic renderings, and capital campaign marking video.
